One of Clonard's most notable events of the year is certainly the 4-Mile Road Race, Fun-Run and Walk. This year's event takes place a little later in the calendar than our first and second races with a date of Saturday September 14th at 10am. The later date should prove an even more successful event with everyone back to school and settled after their holiday travels.
The run and walk starts and finishes at the gates of St. Finian's Park on a looped route around the beautiful local roads of South County Meath. On the day registration will be open from 8am that morning and all participants will be chip timed.
There are online discounts available for those who pre-book at Popup Races with reduced adult entry of €12 (plus admin fee) compared to €15 on the day. There is also a family rate for 2 adults and up to three children for only €30 (plus admin fee). Registering online will also avoid the queues on the morning of the race to make sure to book your place as soon as possible.
Post-race refreshments will be served and there will be plenty of parking at the GAA grounds. Prizes will be given to the top 3 finishers in the usual categories. The event is not just a great social occasion in the community but also raises important funds for the ongoing maintenance and continued development of our fine facilities in St. Finian's Park, which is vital to our local area.
So what are you waiting for, book online now and mark the date in your calendar because based on our first two year's events this will be a very busy morning and extremely enjoyable occasion, one not to be missed!
