Another part of the club development plan for St. Finian’s Park was completed during the week when the second pitch was seeded.

It’s another great achievement for the club as it continues to grow and cater for the increasing amount of teams competing at various boys and girls underage levels.

The second pitch, which is directly adjacent to our main pitch, lies on three and a half acres of land secured on a long term lease from Meath County Council. The club will now proceed to erect security fencing around the land as part of the lease conditions.

Work on securing funding for the next step of the plan has also progressed as the club applies this week for further sports capital funding for an all-weather astro turf pitch.

Thanks to the main contractor, McGovern Plant, and also to Meath County Council, pitch supervisor Hayden Turfcare, and of course to our own hard working development committee of David Campbell, Peadar Donlon and Niall Walsh. Onwards and upwards.....
